Direct TV provides us with some of the best horror films to keep us snuggled close on the couch. This week we finally took the time to watch Saw IV. All I can say is wow. This movie has everything that horror movies should, with a psychological thriller mix to it to make you wonder what is going to happen next. We’ve seen all the Saw movies on satellite tv. The quiet in home theater feeling makes the movies even more scary.
Saw IV gives an entire new twist on the Saw movies. Jigsaw is dead, so the deaths should stop now right? Wrong. In fact, they become even more twisted than they ever have been. The main person being tested is forced again and again through a maze of terror and mind games that would have anyone twisted. If he’s ever to see his family again then he has to make a lot of choices, including playing Russian roulette with six of his own employees.
All the while, you are learning the true story of everything that has happened since the very first Jigsaw victim. Many familiar faces show up through the movies, and finally at the end of it all you learn the complete truth behind all the Jigsaw murders and why they all happened. But, if Jigsaw is dead, then who is behind all these new deaths? You will have to watch the movie to find out!
This movie was one of the best horror movies that I have ever seen. In fact, the entire series is a set that I will probably watch over and over again. It’s got some really gruesome scenes and it not for anyone who is squeamish. You may want to wait until your dinner has settled before watching this one, but it is definitely worth the wait!
