Basel, Switzerland

The AsylumHOME Team was invited to Switzerland to make a presentation at a big festival in Basel. We therefore contacted the Red Cross in Switzerland, and they helped us get in contact with the local asylum
administration.

People in the administration were very interested in having an AsylumHOME workshop and we arrived in Basel on the 16th of March. In the afternoon we made the workshop. About 25 asylum seekers showed up and the computer room was really well equipped with lots of new machines. With the help of employees and asylum seekers, we made a great workshop that was translated from English into German and
French.

We got very good responses from the users and felt it was our most successful workshop so for.
In the evening, and the next night, we slept at the local asylum center that was close by. There we met many of the participants from the workshop and staying at the center gave us a whole new insight into the local conditions. On top of it all, we also got a few games of table football going with people from the workshop.

We won one game!
