Question: How do I join the AsylumHOME community?
Answer: Just click on Sign up now! on the MAINPAGE to create a profile on AsylumHOME. It's free and very easy!

Question: How do I meet or find people on AsylumHOME?
Answer: You can locate people in different ways on AsylumHOME:

- Go to PEOPLE in the top menu for a list of all AsylumHOME users.

- Use the Search function in the top right hand corner to search people by name, age, nationality or country of residence.

Question: How do I add friends to my network?
Answer: To add a friend to your network, just click the "Add to my friends" button by the persons profile. 

All your friends will be listed under "MyFriends" in your menu bar. In this way you can easily find and communicate with them. 

Question: How do I contact people?
Answer: You can contact other users by sending messages to them. To send a message to another user, click on the users button. This will make you able to write a message to this person.  

Every time somebody sends you a message, it will end up in your Inbox. Just go to "MyInbox" in your menu bar to read the messages.

Question: Can I use my personal email (eg. Hotmail, Yahoo) to contact people?
Answer: Yes - but only if the person has an email address listed. To find out, just click on the person's name or image to go to his/hers profile. Here you can see their contact info. If they have an email listed, you can write to them.

Question: Can I use my personal messenger service (eg. MSN, Yahoo) to chat with people?
Answer: Yes - but only if the person has a messenger service listed. To find out, just click on the person's name or image to go to his/hers profile. Here you can see their contact info. If they have a messenger service listed, you can chat with them.

Question: How do I maintain and edit my profile?
Answer: Log in and then go to the MY PLACE section of the site to edit all parts of your profile.

Question: How do I write my own diary/blog?
Answer: To write your own texts, just go to the MY PLACE section of the site and click on "MyBlog". 

Question: What is a blog?
Answer: A blog is an online diary that can be read by other users.

Question: How do I upload images to my gallery?
Answer: To upload images, just go to the MY PLACE section of the site and click on "MyImages". Here you can create image albums with images from your computer.

Question: How can I help make AsylumHOME even better?
Answer: You can do many things to make AsylumHOME an even better resource for asylum seekers:

1. If you know anyone who might be interested in using AsylumHOME - please tell them about the site. The more asylum seekers using AsylumHOME, the stronger our community gets!

2. If you see something you do not like anywhere on the site, please always contact us and we will look at the problem.

3. If you know any internet links of interest to the AsylumHOME community, please go to the LIBRARY section of the site and suggest a link to the Links library.

4. If you have any ideas or a comment about AsylumHOME, please contact us and let us know.

5. Become an administrator!

As the communication on AsylumHOME takes place in many different languages, we're always looking for administrators to look after the non-English pages and help us help non-English speakers.
