You can contribute to your stress level by teaching your kids the basics of home and security. They feel less anxious and your children can develop skills and confidence. Here are some tips to get you started. Use at your own digression.
Teach your children how to use the internal security system, so they are comfortable with her when she in the house at the entrance and exit.
Give them a key to keep with them, not “hide” somewhere outside the house.
Security facilities and home with friends, homework, household, computer and television use.
- Teach children the proper use of phones and devices, such as the microwave for a snack after school.
- Make sure they know how to give directions to the house in case of emergency and keep important phone numbers from almost any phone.
- Make sure they must know how to get home in case of a fire escape (you are planning an escape, is not it?).
- Make sure they know how to secure all doors and windows.
- Ask them, never leave home without your consent.
- Tell them never to a caller or someone at the door, we know they are alone.
- Tell them never to accept rides from or at home, all they do not know very well and has been previously approved by you.
- Tell them never to enter the house, if something seems wrong, like an open door, broken windows or a strange car in the driveway.
- Make sure they know a neighbor who is willing to offer a safe haven.
