These days everyone is buying a flat panel television for their home. The prices on plasma and LCD televisions have come down drastically and with companies like Circuit City going out of business the time is right to jump all over a new TV. One thing to consider with that is the fact that you will need a television stand to sit the TV on. The chances of your old TV stand being able to handle a 42 inch or larger plasma TV are slim to none. Chances are your existing television stand is going to be scrapped or put in another room with a smaller television. The new plasma TV stands are great looking and compliment all models of TV stand on the market. Glass TV stands have a great modern appeal that many consumers are after as of late. The black glass is very popular and demonstrates a contemporary feel that accentuates the black look of most flat panel televisions.
Wood TV stands are also a great addition to any living room giving a more classic feel that you may be after. The represent a sturdy complex style and also offer unlimited weight support for the biggest of TV’s. If you are having trouble with location of your TV in the room perhaps a corner TV stand will do the trick. They allow you to utilize the area of the room most unused and wasted. The corner of the room is sometimes the only place you can get a good viewing angle from the room as a whole.

I bought the new TC-P54G10 in early September and also have a 720P 50″ TH-50PX80U model. While the TC-P65S1 Panasonic does not have THX, I was not as impressed with the THX settings as I thought I would be and prefer to use the custom settings. In my opinion this is still by far the best picture of the three sets I own. It shares the same Neo-PDP glass as the 54G10 but at 65″ the 1080 ability really shows through. Even at the 54″ size I cannot tell the difference with the 720 sets but this 65S1 shines like a star. I watched the Thursday night college football game on ESPNHD and spent more time being amazed at the picture than at the game and it was a darn good game.
All in all, the G10 is a high quality Plasma with terrific features and future expandability. If offers a near perfect picture across multiple inputs and types of content.
